Newmont receiving the Extraordinary Employer Support Award presented by Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR).
Newmont is a proud recipient of this year’s Extraordinary Employer Support Award, presented by Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) at its recent annual employer recognition event held March 10th at Creech Air Force Base in Indian Springs, Nevada.
ESGR’s Extraordinary Employer Support Award recognizes sustained employer support of the National Guard and Reserve Service. This week’s special event hosted award recipients from across Nevada, all selected as the state’s top employers who consistently demonstrate generous support for the servicemen and women in their ranks.
Curt Prokasky, a mine maintenance employee for Newmont, has been instrumental in working with ESGR over the years, resulting in Newmont repeatedly being recognized through each successive tier of the ESGR awards program, culminating in the Freedom Award – the highest-level award bestowed upon employers by the Secretary of Defense. As a member of the Nevada National Guard and Reserve, Curt has served his country during multiple lengthy missions and appreciates the support Newmont has provided to him and his family while he’s been deployed.
All of us at Newmont are honored to count brave individuals like Curt among our workforce, and we remain committed to supporting them and their families as they serve the nation.
